  • Timberly

Timberly is an exercise enthusiast who has traveled a crazy road! She has always had love for fitness. She ran a full marathon and participated in the Avon 40 mile walk. Played Indoor Soccer and weight lifting. Twenty years ago, she broke her tailbone during a childbirth. This caused major back problems for her over the next 5 years. She eventually became couch bound, helpless, and depressed. After two back surgeries in one year, her physical therapist recommended that she give Pilates a try. She could not believe the full improvement in her back in just one year. She started with Pilates 3 times a week and was able to progress up to working out EVERY day for 2-3 hours. Pilates, Spin, and Zumba. Being active again helped alleviate the depression. With her mental health and physical health back on track, getting certified in Pilates was on obvious decision. But she didn't stop there! She is also certified in TRX, Spin, and Zumba. Timberly started taking the Nutrition aspect also more seriously. She fully believes exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. Within one month she dropped 20 pounds, effortlessly. And has kept it off. Just simply by watching what she ate. She loves to teach others her tips and tricks! The right foods, with the right supplements, equals success in weightloss. Healthy eating is attainable for all. Timberly has taught pilates for 10 years now. She looks forward to continuing her education in ALL things Fitness and Nutrition. Learning something new everyday and sharing her passion with you. She believes that if she helps enough people get what they want, she will get what she wants. Mind. Body. Soul.

  • Jody

Twenty three years ago, Jody Frost began practicing Pilates in Santa Fe NM with Michelle Larsson, a master teacher who trained for years under the tutelage of Eve Gentry. Eve apprenticed with Joseph Pilates himself. She came to pilates due to years of dance injuries and over-use syndrome. She continued to study and train with privates until the age of 42 . At that point, she began the process of earning her certification through Turning Point studios in Walnut Creek. Jody has taught Pilates apparatus group classes and privates as well as mat work at various studios in the bay area over the past 12 yrs. Her teaching style, while adhering to Joseph Pilates principals of centering, control, focus, precision, breath, and flowing movement is innovative and playful. She enjoys experimenting with variations on the repertoire to keep it fresh for her students. Her other profession is as a photographer which she continues to practice. She is an avid and long time tango dancer as well.

I started practicing Pilates because I wanted to exercise more consistently -- and enjoy it. To my delight, Pilates classes were both fun and effective. I love sharing my enthusiasm for how conscious movement can build everyone’s strength and endurance. And, as a nurse, it’s satisfying to see how Pilates improves total health: mind, body and spirit. My objective for my classes is to have participants have fun and leave relaxed, stronger and energized. A favorite quote of Joseph Pilates: “If at the age of 30 you are stiff and out of shape, you are old. If, at the age of 60, you are supple and strong, then you are young” Here’s to getting more supple and strong -- together!

  • Nicholas

First introduced to the Pilates method in 2008 because of a car accident, Nick was recommended Pilates by a Physical Therapist for a full recovery. Pilates helped heal the injuries from accident and other major injuries sustained from a work related accident a few years prior. Nick first learned the Classical method; the Romana Lineage of Joseph Pilates and has since then trained in both classical and contemporary Pilates methods. He was comprehensively trained in 2008 by Jill Cassady in Santa Monica, Ca. From one-on-one training to large group classes, Nick has taught to a large segment of population over the years. His beginner classes emphasis safety as well as proper technique. Intermediate training accommodates progressions that stops the plateauing effect. Lastly, his mindset and knowledge of the working human body helps advanced training clients grow to an unparalleled strength. Nick's guidance has helped rehab clients with a wide array of ailments such as hip/ knee replacements, Scoliosis, and Tennis/Golfers elbow just to name a few. Nick often says,"Every new injury is a new learning experience because every body is different".

Born and raised in California, my love for movement began as a child through Dance and Theater Arts. I was always a fitness and nutrition enthusiast and earned my degree from CSUC in Exercise Physiology. Following graduation, I relocated to the East Coast where I raised four amazing sons. I was an avid runner until a series of surgeries between 2008 and 2016 set me up on a roller coaster ride to recovery. I couldn’t make a full recovery running and going to the gym. My core strength was compromised and my body was completely out of alignment. My movement was affected and so was my quality of life. The first time I touched a Pilates Reformer I knew I was home. I fell in love with the breath and coordination that Pilates provides and continue to explore Pilates as a way to heal and strengthen the body. The Club Pilates 500/hr comprehensive teacher training course has provided me the opportunity to share my passion with others. I want to inspire my clients to find balance mentally and physically through Pilates. My goal is to educate, motivate and fully support my clients through each and every stage of their journey and have a lot of fun along the way! When I’m not in the studio, I enjoy cooking healthy meals and hiking the Diablo Hills with my dog Kona.

I am so excited to be joining the Club Pilates family in Danville! Although I am not new to Club Pilates, I am new to the Danville area. My family and I moved here the summer of 2019. I was first introduced to a mat version of Pilates by a friend in 2014 and have been obsessed with Jospeh Pilates techniques ever since. I received my certification from Club Pilates Roseville April 2019. My passion for health and wellness goes deep- I have been instructed under personal/group fitness trainers and nutritionist almost my entire life. I was an athlete for 30 years; The first 10 years of my athletics career was playing baseball, with the boys, girls soccer and girls basketball throughout high school. After high school I joined a few different recreational softball leagues and found the perfect combination of baseball & softball playing at the Roseville Indoor Arena for another 20 years after that. I have since given the sport up after a knee injury in 2012, and now find gentler ways to treat my body through my Pilates practice. My parents were in the U.S. Army for 28 years so I have been fortunate to travel all of my life and have lived all over the U.S. and abroad. My life is full of love and peace due in part to my wonderful partner in life and our two lovely teenage children and our two giant, St. Bernard’s. As a family our passions include working out, traveling, boating, sporting events, art, theater, movies, cars, cooking & eating out. We love helping others. We sit on the Board of Directors for Guardian Gym in Oakland. We also partake in charitable events for The Boys & Girls Club, Greenpeace USA, Defenders of Wildlife, World Wildlife, Lindsay Wildlife Rescue, Care2, Four Paws & ASPCA. I look forward to hearing about how you came to love Pilates too!

  • Suzanne

Suzanne’s love of movement comes from dance, competitive sports and running from a young age. She came to pilates in 2007 for superficial reasons (nice arms in a wedding dress) and was hooked by how it made her look and feel. Studying with several New York studios, she settled on her favorite team at Ellie Herman studios in Brooklyn where she learned the fundamentals of Pilates through mat, reformer, chair, springboard and props. Working with Ellie and her master trainers for 8 years, she got deeper and deeper into her practice and when a car accident in 2008 brought with it a back injury, Elllie’s team was integral in helping her through the injury. After moving to California, she got her certification in 2015 and has been teaching classes and privates throughout the Bay Area since, with additional training in Barre & Cadillac. She is dedicated to sharing Pilates with others in an accessible way for today’s body of any type. She believes Pilates should be challenging, fun and add to your overall wellness and that “You should always leave a Pilates class feeling better than when you walked in”.
